Here's a pic from George Mitchell's amazing book Ponce de Leon. This is Dennis Dinion, whom the book alleges is the actor who played the mayor of Munchkin Land in the Wizard of Oz (though that's not what IMDB tells me). Regardless, Dennis is in drag for the Miss Star Lite Pageant that was held at the Star Lite Lounge back in the late 70s'/early 80's.
Does anyone remember where on Ponce the Star Lite Lounge was?

Hey, found this in the 1978 city directory
Starlight Lounge (Tina Brown) restr
715 Ponce De Leon Ave NE 881-9308
According the street guide, it was the second address east of the beltline tracks. I wonder if it was in the Ford Factory lofts building? I also noticed Duggan's was the Ponce de Leon Book Mart and 760 Ponce was the Blue Lantern Lounge. In the 1960s 715 Ponce was called Duprees -- wonder if that has anything to do with the pool hall that used to be above Apres Diem??
