While tipping back a few local brews with some friends at the Righteous Room last night, one of the guys made us aware of pending legislation that is up for review on Tuesday and could seriously limit our access to some truly classic local pours (Sweetwater, Terrapin, and Atlanta Brewing Co.)It seems that the Dept. of Revenue is miffed about the free beer that is given away during the local brewery tours and wants to put a stop to it (over my dead and beer-bloated body they will). So be righteous and click here now to "fight the man" and show your support for our local brewmasters.
I'll even buy you a beer if you .cc me on your email to the DOR, but you have to send it prior to their meeting on June 19th.
Stupid crosswalk signs is one thing, but taking away FREE BEER is a whole other matter...that I would take to the U.S. Supreme Court if I had to.
