The Decatur Arts Festival: Go for the Art, Stay for the Ale and Alligator!

I hit the Decatur Arts Festival on Saturday and was reminded (yet again) of why I love Ponce (and Decatur) so damned much.

If you missed it on Saturday, then you're not s.o.l., cuz the festival is going on today, Sunday, May 27, 11 am-6 pm... I had so much fun yesterday I think I'll go back today (once this Belgian ale hangover subsides a bit...nothing an alligator on a stick or a polish sausage or two couldn't cure).

The crowds aren't nearly as bad as for other events held here, such as The Great Decatur Beer Tasting Festival in October--and the artists' work this year really is great--so be encouraged to check it out.

Directions

The Decatur Arts Festival takes place on the Square in downtown Decatur. The best way to get to the festival is to take MARTA. The Decatur station is on the East Line and located on the Square in the middle of the festival grounds.

If you are driving and using Google Maps or Mapquest enter the corner of East Ponce de Leon Ave and East Court Square, Decatur, GA 30030 as the destination location.
